Our Postgraduate Shows provide an opportunity to discover new ways of interrogating ideas, refining creative practice and imagining alternative futures through a range of innovative and inspiring work.
With a focus on complexity and contradiction, our graduating students have produced projects on themes ranging from sustainability and social justice to inclusivity and immersive technology – situating contemporary issues within the context of their disciplines while considering the symbiosis between creativity, industry and community.
Featured courses will be split across 2 showcasing opportunities that will transform our College Building through colourful, poignant and dynamic examples of student work:
Each show is free and open to everyone, although time slots for specific events must be booked in advance to safely manage capacities in our spaces.
All students will also have the opportunity to digitally present their work to a global audience on the UAL Graduate Showcase platform, which will relaunch in December.
Professor Kene Igweonu, Head of London College of Communication and Pro-Vice Chancellor of UAL, explained that the Postgraduate Shows offer an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our latest graduates while catching a glimpse at the future of the creative industries.
“At London College of Communication (LCC), we’re passionate about using our creativity to change the world for the better.
“Our Postgraduate Shows chart the growth of our students as they further develop as practitioners, bringing together the skills and fresh perspectives that will shape the broader landscapes of their disciplines.
“Working across Design, Media and Screen, they’ve produced projects that offer a glimpse into the importance of hard work and human connection, along with the joy that comes from ideating and collaborating across our College community.
“I’d like to congratulate every member of our Postgraduate Class of 2022 as they prepare to take the next steps on their creative journeys; and to extend my thanks to the friends, family members and industry guests who join us in celebrating not only the achievements of our graduating students, but also the possibilities of their futures.”
Postgraduate Shows 2022 will be accompanied by a programme of events designed to bring together insights from students, academics and industry guests in celebration of their respective disciplines.
Ranging from public screenings to specialist industry-focused seminars, our events will aim to initiate collaboration, encourage knowledge-sharing, and inspire discussion.
