Charlotte studied BA (Hons) Film Practice and graduated from LCC in 2016.

How has the course helped you be where you are today?

The course really pushes you into work experience. If it weren’t for that I wouldn’t have searched so hard and found my current job.

What three words would you use to best describe LCC?

Creative, friendly and freeing.

What piece of advice would you give to new students?

Talk to everyone!

Where are you working at the moment?

I work as a bookman for a prop house in Europe’s largest in prop lighting for film and television. Everyday is a new day and I’m always discovering the latest productions and helping find props for them.

Could you describe your style or what you try to achieve with your work?

I would say it’s very home-grown, it’s an evolution of constant multi-media I take in. I’m trying to achieve the most subtle, unnoticeable production design.

Name three things you couldn't be creative without:

Social media, art and nature.

If you could work with any client in the world, who would it be?

I would love to work with Ken Loach, I think working in realist film would be a huge testament to my work, if I could pull it off.

What drives you to succeed?

Seeing others succeed.

Where in London do you go when you need a little inspiration?

Firstly the cinema but I would constantly go to galleries and walk around and take in the cities architecture.

What are your future plans and ambitions?

I would love to be on set, either set dressing or decorating.
