Diana Ganea is a final year student on BA (Hons) Design for Art Direction at London College of Communication. Diana's work has recently been featured in Intern Magazine online. Here she talks to us about her experience at LCC and her hopes for the future.
I am an artist and designer, interested in moving image, photography and 3D design, aiming to join these mediums together.
From cold rainy Copenhagen, Denmark.
I partly chose LCC as it was almost the only college offering an art direction course. But also because of the experience I had when attending the open day. Hearing Tara Langford, the Course Leader, talk about the course so passionately really won me over.
Busy place!
Our studio classroom. It feels like a second home. Oh and the magazine shelves in the library.
The most interesting project so far has been the site project based on the De Beauvoir, in East London.
To be ready to really experiment, but also to be very disciplined when it comes to your practice and education.
Super quirky, resourceful and friendly
Right now I'm working on an interactive music video. I'm also finishing up some freelance projects which I'm excited to release.
My work often has a critical perspective or a political viewpoint, which I combine with a multidisciplinary approach, in order to create speculative work. Often I think the medium I work within dictates the sort of style my project takes on.
MacBook, music and coffee.
I'd love to art direct Kendrick Lamar’s next music video, as his album ‘’To Pimp a Butterfly’’ is one of the most memorable things from my first trip to London.
Amazing and tough at the same time in terms of budgeting. My favourite place to explore is either Peckham or St. Katharine Docks.
I hope to find a team of people I enjoy working with and to work further on the independent magazine I started in my first year of university.
