Dr Ana-Despina Tudor is Course Leader for MA Virtual Reality at London College of Communication.
Ana has eight years of experience in virtual reality. As a researcher, her work focuses on understanding three areas:
Ana studied media and communication in Romania, where she grew up. She then completed her MA and PhD in virtual reality design in Germany.
Ana has worked in research projects with academia and with industry partners. Particularly, in the fields of virtual reality for education and in health wearables. She has researched the role of virtual reality in primary and secondary education. Ana has also collaborated with smartwatch manufacturers, the charity sector and care services.
Ana’s research focuses on human-computer interaction in virtual reality. Her interest is in improving the immersive experience of users. She also explores the types of interaction in virtual reality through image, sound and touch. Ana's interest lies in increasing the accessibility of virtual reality and in raising awareness about its use in education.
Ana teaches on the MA Virtual Reality units and is a visiting fellow at The Open University, UK.
