Jesse is a Lecturer on MA Design for Data Visualisation at London College of Communication. He is a London-based artist, designer, and musician working with sound, data, and code.
Jesse's research revolves around making complex systems of information more legible and accessible with art and design and exploring ways digital technology can bring us closer to the more-than-human world.
Recent research projects include designing a series of alternative sensory experiences for algorithmic processes, like transforming AI generated data into perfume, ritual, performance, and knitted artefacts as well as creating interactive installations involving molecular changes in air quality to compose generative music.
In 2018, he received the inaugural Pokémon Company Scholarship for his research while studying in the Information Experience Design MA program at The Royal College of Art.
Past collaborations include work with the University of Southern California's Critical Media Project, P5.js, the Processing Foundation, and the David Lynch Foundation; exhibitions at the Royal College of Art, 202 Gallery at Central Saint Martins, Big Medium Gallery, Crisp-Ellert Art Museum at Flagler College, and the Hunter Museum of Contemporary Art; performances at the Royal Academy of Arts, J. Paul Getty Museum as well as Green Man, Bestival, End of the Road, Benicàssim, Sasquatch!, and Isle of Wight festivals.
