Biography

Kelly Harrison is a Lecturer in Communication Design on the BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design course at London College of Communication.

Kelly has over 20 years teaching experience at LCC and numerous other higher education institutions including: Central Saint Martins, University for the Creative Arts Epsom, and Southampton Solent University.

Kelly accrued 10 years teaching experience at the Design Museum, London. During this time, she gained a broad-based knowledge of interdisciplinary design and wider arts education and creative industry networks.

Running her own studio and art business for over 20 years, she has supplied art prints and design-led product ranges to leading high street and heritage retailers including: Liberty, John Lewis, British Library, De La Warr Pavilion and Towner Eastbourne.

Working as a freelance illustrator Kelly uses a range of traditional and contemporary image-making processes and has created bespoke commissions for an extensive client list including: Radio Times, Royal Pavilion Brighton, National Trails and Windsor Great Park.

In her teaching practice at LCC, Kelly draws on her experience as an artist designer to inspire and support students on their journey to become dynamic and responsible practitioners in the creative industries of the future.

Kelly holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication Design from Central Saint Martins.
