Lara Cardoso graduated from MA Media, Communication and Critical Practice at London College of Communication. She is now considering a career in meaningful online communications.
Toronto, Canada
I was interested in studying abroad at a creative institution – LCC seemed the perfect fit.
Creative and a little crazy. Crazy in a good way – anything goes!
The support from course leaders and tutors and the freedom to academically and creatively pursue what really matters to you.
My thesis, which was a mix of Slow Movement research and autoethnography. It was self-explorative and an incredibly rewarding period of time during my MA course.
Make the most of it, it goes by so quick. Try to get involved with UAL at large, there's a lot to discover and be inspired by!
Inspiring, unique, exploratory
Being an international student, it took me some time to adjust to London, but I love it now. I live in south east London and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t say my favourite place is without a doubt the SE, all the way.
Meaningful work in online communications. My interests are somewhat niche – fashion, sustainability, online media – but I feel that LCC has helped me prepare for a career path towards a role in this area.
