Pearl Sun is a Senior Lecturer for MA Graphic Branding and Identity at London College of Communication. She also helped develop the course BA Design for Climate Justice. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and is an HEA Fellow. She previously taught in the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication at the University of Reading.
She is currently working on a PhD in Regenerative Branding at Central Saint Martins and her research focuses on wild pedagogy, rewilding and designing with, and in, nature.
Originally from Los Angeles, her background is rooted in graphic design. She studied a BA in Fine Arts at University of Southern California and later an MA Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins. Her creative practice spans over 18 years as a creative director and designer collaborating with global agencies and brands including Superunion, Amazon, Mattel, London Transport Museum, Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), British Waterways and the city of Memphis, Atlanta and Ningbo.
