Biography

Zaiba Jabbar is a curator, award-winning director, researcher, and educator. She is an MA Graphic Media Design lecturer at London College of Communication and an Associate Lecturer in Fine Art: Computational Arts at Camberwell College of Arts. She is also the founder of HERVISIONS — a femme-focused curatorial agency and digital art studio based in London.

Her curatorial and research practice explores the intersection of art, technology, and culture, with a focus on expanded moving image and digital media. Zaiba’s work investigates how artists on the margins use emerging technologies to reimagine storytelling, identity, and representation beyond traditional formats. She is committed to creating accessible spaces for experimental practices and alternative narratives in digital culture.

Alongside her curatorial projects, Zaiba is involved in mentoring programmes with a range of artists and organisations. Since founding HERVISIONS in 2015, she has collaborated with institutions such as Tate Modern, The Photographers’ Gallery, arebyte, Furtherfield, Saatchi Gallery, BFI, LUX, the London College of Fashion, William Morris Gallery, and Google Arts & Culture.

She was curator in residence at LUX in 2018 and currently serves on the board of Abandon Normal Devices. Zaiba remains deeply engaged in HERVISIONS’ ongoing work, supporting new commissions, exhibitions, and events that push the boundaries of digital and immersive art.
