Meet some of the students from this year’s Summer Show 2. The show, which features the work of students in our School of Design, opens tonight!
The Upper Street Gallery will be home to this year’s BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media work. Toni Hollowood’s series of photographs depicting mini-sculptures and textural objects show her unique visual aesthetic and are testament to the scope of possibilities on this course.

Sarah Birtles will be showing three different projects; a brilliant illustrated book about time travel, some hand-made models, and a series of scarves that she has designed that look at the way in which people interact with each other over the internet.

Robert Cottrell is presenting a series of posters and original typefaces which are all a part of the same project. Starting with his love of cars, his research led him to look at the aesthetics of mechanics, engineering and physics which is reflected in the work he is showing.

You will also be able to see Emily Bulford’s tongue-in-cheek ‘Paints of Peckham’, a guide to Peckham’s less likely charms in the guise of a high-end paint catalogue that might appeal to an upwardly mobile yummy mummy.
