Launching on Wednesday 24 November, discover new possibilities in creative communications at our Postgraduate Showcase 2021.

This year, we’re celebrating the theme of ‘reconnection’ as our community at London College of Communication (LCC) reunites, creates and collaborates - bringing vibrancy and vision to projects developed between homes across the world and our College Building.

With the world shifting into a new reality, this year marks a new exploratory approach to the exhibition of student work, as we feature projects across both the UAL Graduate Showcase platform and physical spaces for the very first time.

Our hybrid approach not only provides a rich experience for visitors and graduating students alike, but also ensures that global audiences can continue to explore some of the most inspiring new work across design, media and screen.

Split into 2 distinct shows, our Media School Showcase will take place between 24-27 November, while our Design and Screen School Showcase will take place between 7-11 December.

Exhibited work from our 2021 graduates not only demonstrates their strength as emerging creatives, but also of their innovation and resilience as they confront contemporary challenges in ways that will shape our collective futures.

Postgraduate Showcase Events Programme

From Wednesday 24 November – Saturday 11 December, our celebration of student work will be complemented by an exciting programme of hybrid events that celebrate the achievements and resilience of our community.

Ranging from panel discussions to curated screenings, our staff, students and industry guests will be sharing insights on their creative processes, debates around broader socio-cultural shifts, and thoughts on the future of creativity.

Visitors to the onsite Showcase and events programme can book their place on one of our timed entry slots via Eventbrite. To ensure the safety of our audiences, please be aware that places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Collaborative processes can lead to unexpected results”

The visual identity for our 2021 Postgraduate Showcase has been developed by graphic designer and BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design graduate, Olly Corps – bringing together the vibrant personality of our College community with the joy of working together once again.

“The central theme behind the identity is reconnection as students return to LCC's building and facilities, and ultimately the creative collaborations facilitated by this return - whether through engagement in LCC's creative spaces and workshops with technicians, or through forming new collaborations with fellow students,” Olly explained.

“The seed of the identity really lies with its logo, which is a simple representation of connection as two shapes join. This morphed symbol was then developed into a motion-led visual system in which the shapes connect, morph, and intersect.

“The animations have a generative nature, meaning there is an element of the unexpected in the compositions they create. For me, this was fitting to describe how collaborative processes can lead to unexpected results.”

“Thoughtful, playful and experimental projects that ask big questions and celebrate creativity”

Natalie Brett, Head of London College of Communication and Pro Vice-Chancellor University of the Arts London, highlighted the significance of graduating at a time when an evolving world offers so many potential futures and creative possibilities.

“Our Postgraduate Showcase marks a transitional moment in the lives of this year’s graduating students. As they move into the next stage of their creative careers, they’re preparing to explore a world that's changing with rapid speed – but a world that also offers many opportunities to think, create and communicate in fresh and exciting ways.

"Working from their homes around the globe, as well as from our home here in London, our graduates have faced the challenges of a time in flux to develop thoughtful, playful and experimental projects that ask big questions and celebrate creativity.

"We’re really excited for you to explore their work and join us in supporting both the future and the legacy of London College of Communication – our Postgraduate Class of 2021.”
