Postgraduate Diploma in Design for Visual Communication graduate Valentina D’Efillippo has won Silver award in the European Design Awards with her user's guide: The Brain.
Recently named one of campaign’s 30 creative female leaders in the UK, Valentina has won an award for ‘The Brain: A user’s guide’.
The designer, illustrator, and creative director has been working with public organisations, start-ups, agencies and global brands for the last years, but just recently returned to run her own practice full-time.
Pursuing imaginative and compelling visual language, her practice focuses on information design and data visualisation in many forms – from theatre productions and exhibitions to editorial content and interactive platforms.

The purpose of this user’s guide is to take readers on a journey through intelligence, memory, creativity, the unconscious and beyond, from the ways that what we think of as ‘reality’ can be distorted to brain hacks that can improve memory.
The European Design Awards wraps up with a festival in a different city every year, leading up to the awards ceremony. This creates an ideal opportunity for the most creative people of our community to come together, be inspired and celebrate.
