As part of London College of Communication’s ongoing support to our cultural neighbours, we’re featuring a weekly round-up of some of the online activities and content provided by the fantastic museums, galleries and cultural venues in our local area.

Studios to reopen in September! with Siobhan Davies Studios

From 1 September 2020

“We are glad and relieved to be able to announce the re-opening of Siobhan Davies Studios from Tuesday 1st September 2020.

“We are open for pre-booked users only. This includes our programmed artists, those attending events and classes and studio hirers. We cannot currently accommodate drop-ins.

“In addition to taking paid bookings, we are offering a limited number of complimentary studio hours to individual artists and small ensembles.

Further details on what we're doing to ensure the safety of those in our building can be found on our website.”

Music to My Ears: Digital Marketing for SMEs with London College of Communication

At London College of Communication, we’re working with Small-to-Medium-Enterprises (SMEs) in the music industry to adapt and innovate through our Digital Grid Partnership.

Join a free online workshop hosted by London College of Communication to receive expert support on developing innovative digital strategies.

Discovery Workshops: Our Enrolment is open! with Act’In

“Act’in Theatre, created by Candice Desmet, offers drama and cinema workshops for everyone in London. The purpose is to offer you a free space whatever your age, your career and your theatrical and cinematographic experience.

“Act’in allows you to work on your physical expressions, feelings and your ease on stage in a relaxed environment. If you would like to try us out before you commit, then take advantage of our discovery workshops!”

Setting the Stage: Costume from Sketchbook to Stage with Southwark Stayhouse

27 August, 7.30 - 8.30pm

“Setting the Stage is a series of events created by freelance theatre artists. Join us for an insight into how costumes go from being sketches drawn by a Designer to realised garments ready for the stage.

“A team of West End Costume Supervisors will explain how costumes are made, hired, fitted and finished ready for performance. Talking about their experiences in the West End, they’ll let you know what goes on behind the scenes in order to bring these costumes to life.”

Southwark Park Galleries Podcast
