As part of London College of Communication’s ongoing support to our cultural neighbours, we’re featuring a weekly round-up of some of the online activities and content provided by the fantastic museums, galleries and cultural venues in our local area.
From Instagram drawing clubs to virtual exhibitions, artist profiles, video demonstrations, film screenings, performances and more, here’s our guide to what you can get involved in with our Southwark and Lambeth friends and partners – all from the comfort of your own home.
Southwark Rooms is a free, online art project for Southwark residents who have been staying at home during Covid-19. It's an opportunity to create something special and share it with your neighbours. We’re aiming to bring together artworks from people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities and exhibit them side by side in our virtual gallery.

The Cinema Museum is run entirely by volunteers. We have been in residence at the former Lambeth Workhouse for over 20 years but following the 2018 sale of our building and the surrounding site, sadly the long-term future of the Cinema Museum is still not confirmed. Help save the Cinema Museum by signing the petition below.

This month sees the launch of our virtual exhibition Love, Jasmine Johnson’s commission for Annotations II, which explores the artist's ongoing interest in love addiction, this time in relation to physical isolation in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic; messages and still-life photographs from queer women living in cities around the world inform a suite of drawings that form a virtual exhibition.

Selected by writer Dean Evans and illustrated by Elizabeth Lander, this tour links some of the libraries and art galleries Passmore Edwards funded in south and east London.

Inclusive Dance is a fun way of making up dances together to have fun. You don’t need to have too much room to move, enough space to reach your arms out to the side is enough! We meet over Zoom, a video calling app that's very easy to use. To access this you will need a computer/tablet or mobile phone with a webcam and sound. Once signed up you will receive an email with instructions of how to use Zoom.
Every Thursday at 4.30pm
