As part of London College of Communication’s ongoing support to our cultural neighbours, we’re featuring a weekly round-up of some of the online activities and content provided by the fantastic museums, galleries and cultural venues in our local area.

From Instagram drawing clubs to virtual exhibitions, artist profiles, video demonstrations, film screenings, performances and more, here’s our guide to what you can get involved in with our Southwark and Lambeth friends and partners – all from the comfort of your own home.

Week starting: 6 April 2020

Big Bad Drawing Club at South London Gallery

Thursdays at 3.30pm for the next nine weeks.

The Big Family Press collaborate with London based artist and art historian Millie Nice for Bad Drawing club. Taking place on the SLG's Instagram, they’ll be posting prompts, challenges and activities. #BadDrawingClubUK

British Surrealism at Dulwich Picture Gallery

DPG are bringing their major exhibition to you with a series of short films; Behind the Curtain explores some of the key artists and works in British Surrealism, presented by Director Jennifer Scott. First up is Conroy Maddox’s bewildering The Lesson – an apt poster child for these strange times.

If you are part of a venue local to LCC and what us to help promote an online event, please email Gill Henderson, LCC Cultural and Communities Partnerships Manager, at g.m.henderson@lcc.arts.ac.uk.
