Biography

Eleni is an artist, designer, educator and lecturer on the BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media course at London College of Communication.

She makes work about how people exist together and is interested in collective experiences, the negotiations within them and the structures around them. Writing, role play, and found objects are used by Eleni to observe systematised collectivity as found in the worlds of sport, work, play and transport. With a multidisciplinary practice, her outputs range from performance, and object making, to moving image, installations and books.

Eleni studied Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Art, UAL and competed her postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Art (London, UK). Her education continues within institutional and self-organised structures such as Crit Club, a support network of artists which meet monthly (2018—now).

Eleni has exhibited at Prizing Eccentric Talents 2, P.E.T. Projects (Αthens, 2022); Alternate Realities, Sheffield Documentary Festival (2022); Squeezebox at Collective Ending (London, 2021); Head2Head, KEIV (Athens 2021); The Factory Project (London, 2021); and Working Progress at the South London Gallery (London, 2020).

She was awarded the Stavros Niarchos Artworks Fellowship (Athens, 2021-22), as well as the SET Studio Award (London, 2020-21). Eleni was part of the group residency Peer Forum 2020 researching collective affection, hosted by Camden Arts Centre (London, 2020-21) and acted as the educator-in-residence for Supersmashers:, a weekly art session for children in Southwark hosted by the South London Gallery (London, 2020-2021).
